Free Friday is back.
Yes, you read that right. I found some time this week to create a little something just for me (and you!)

I do love to look at and receive handmade cards but the time involved just isn't my thing. Every year around this time I get the urge to create cute little Christmas tags to decorate my packages. This year, I am sharing my tags with all my blog readers.

This year, I am sharing my tags with all my blog readers.
I have had this idea for a new product at my TwoPeas site for quite a long time... Punch and Print PDFs!
How to use them:
1. Print as many copies of the PDF as needed. Make sure when printing that you do not have "fit to page size" or scaled printing checked in your print window. You will want to make sure they print at the correct size to ensure they line up with your punches.
If you are using the 1.5" punch you will have to punch off the colored ring and simply punch out just the icon.
5. Punch a stack of 2" circles out of the cardstock scraps. (If you are making the smaller size tags, you will punch a 1.75" circle). These circles will become the base for each tag. You could also cut these backer circles from a diecutting machine if you don't have the correct punch.
6. Adhere an icon circle and a to/from circle to the front and back of each base circle to form the tag. Add a 1/8" hole punch to the top of each tag. Add ribbon or Jillibean Soup Bakers twine to finish!
Tip: How to get to the center of the page? Cut the page in half so you can punch right down the line.
Your finished tags will look like this depending on the size you punched.
Quick and simple handmade tags! Enjoy.

2. I designed the tags to be used with a 1.75" and 2" circle punch (you can get away with a 1.5" and 1.75 if you need to). The EK Success Gold Circle punch is 1.75 and hands down the best punch in my enormous stash. StampinUp also sells a 1.75" punch. buy it, it is so versatile.
3. Grab some cardstock scraps in colors that match your print.
4. Begin by punching out all of your printed circles. Remember to hold the punch upside down so that you can see where you are punching.

Free Friday for Real this Time! #28
Two weeks late...sorry dear blog. I've neglected you. It's been necessary. Lots of work, loads of kid time and even a weekend for myself thrown in there. Football is finally over. We have a nice 12 day break until basketball begins. Oh and wrestling. How did I end up with three boys?!?!
Is everyone getting ready to kick off their Holiday projects? I thought a few Holiday Phrases might come in handy for your cards and other craft projects.

Free Friday #26
Before we get to the free files, I wanted to share a new kit I designed for TwoPeas - Beautiful Butterflies. The kit contains 4 different butterfly shapes with three different options for each butterfly. Twelve butterflies in all for $4.00. I think the shapes are are perfect for pages as well as cards! sketch
I haven't done a sketch here in quite a while. I was approached by Mélissa Malebranche a Creating Keepsakes reader this week for the sketch of my Apple Picking page in the October 2010 issue page 73. It was so nice of her to contact me and of course I wanted to share with her. I whipped the sketch and thought, why not share with my blog readers as well?

Free Friday #25
Another week of me not posting anything until Friday! I have a good excuse this time. I was in Kansas City part of the week. I got to see my friend Rebecca Cross the owner of Pink Paislee. She is an amazing, creative person with boundless energy and enthusiasm. I love getting to know people to have as much passion for the industry as I do.
It is now October and the official beginning of Halloween season at the Lamb House. I promised the kids we get out the decorations this weekend. It is one of their favorite things to do!

The border was drawn at 6" wide, I would not suggest scaling it smaller. It is very detailed and scaling smaller will produce inaccurate results. If you need a longer border, simply cut several and overlap across your page!

free fonts instead
Dear Blog Readers,
I had to go out of Thursday for a business meeting so there will not be a free cutting file today. Instead, I would like to share a link I occasionally use to find free fonts for movies that my kids love. Last week, Cooper had to attend a Harry Potter birthday party. He thought I was a genius when I cut a card for him using the Harry Potter font on my Wishblade. It's good to feel like a genius every once in awhile.

Free Friday #22
Another quick one today! The kids are at school and I am sorta on a scrapbook vacation. Meaning while they are at school, I am finally getting to all those great summer photos.
Lace Borderlines released at TwoPeas this week. This is one of my favorite releases thus far. Remember when cutting intricate designs to always use a fresh blade and sticky mat. Keep in mind that these designs were intended to be cut 11-12" in length, scaling smaller can result in inaccurate results. If you need a smaller border, simply cut at the long size and trim off the sides to fit your project.
Today's free file....I thought this may come in handy for all the mom's who sent their kids back this week.

Free Friday #21 and a new WIP
Trust me when I say this picture doesn't do it enough justice. I just received my September Work In Progress Kit. It is so utterly cool. The mix of red, green and yellow is incredible. I cannot wait to play! Hopefully this weekend.
Now for the freebie! I'm on a roll! Haven't missed a Friday in a lonnnnnnggg time. I have been playing with lace borders this week and came up with some really cool designs for a new TwoPeas Kit. Here is one of the more simple ones that didn't make the kit. I thought it was still simple and pretty and wanted to share it with you today.

Free Friday #20 and new Dienamics
First I wanted to be sure to share the new Dienamics I designed for Kim at My Favorite Things Stamps. If you enjoy traditional steel plate die cutting, this is the product for you. Made like Quickutz dies, these wafer thin dies pack a lot of punch. They can even punch through felt!

I have been swamped with work since returning from CHA. I've been working on a 3rd card design for the eCraft. (My best and cutest - it includes layered elements!) The machines are finally arriving in stores. I am going to be receiving one soon. As soon as I do, I will be sharing projects and tips.
Today's Free Friday is a simple Flower Silhouette. I think this would look great on cards or pages.
The kids are back to school in less than three weeks. I have so many projects I want to tackle, so many new ideas for pages and projects. My mind is overflowing with ideas...I just need the time to tackle them! I hate to see summer leave but I cannot wait for all the time to create! Anyone else itching for the school year schedule to begin?

Back from CHA!
It was in-cred-i-ble. Huge. And fun. I made so many new friends and met some of my scrapbook idols. I took about 500 photos...don't worry, I won't post all of them. This weekend is family time first though.

Free Friday #18
I am off the Craft and Hobby Show in Chicago all next week so things will be quiet on the blog. (or not!, you may want to stop by Monday!) This is my first opportunity to attend the show. To say that I am excited is putting it lightly! I cannot wait to see all of the new products and trends in the industry. It will also be my first opportunity to see the eCraft operate and have the chance to view my new cartridges! I am hoping to meet many new people and expand my opportunities as a graphic designer in the craft industry. (And I just want to drool over the new products!) I will post show photos as soon as I get back.

Free Friday #15
Today is a very happy day! I found out that I am 100% going to summer CHA in July. I have dreamed of attending for years and now it is finally happening!!! I'm more excited about this than the trip to Disney!
Today's freebie is a simple little star. I use star on my layout all the time. This will come in handy for all those summer sporting events.

Free Friday #14
You thought I was going to lame out once again...wrong! I am finally able to say I got my act together this week. I'm so organized I may even scrapbook this weekend. Gasp. It's been a fun first week out of school for the kids. They have been to the library a couple of times for summer programs, saw Shrek 4 and Prince of Persia, pool, playground, lots of baseball. Wow - all in one week. Tonight the little guys and I stopped at this new junk store called 5 Below. Everything in it is five bucks or less. FOURTY dollars later we left with 16 packs of Lego Mini figures, two packs of GoGos, 24 pieces of candy, one ring, one bracelet and two energy drinks from me.They are not getting all of this loot in one night. Three figures a piece for today. The rest is bride bait for doing summer homework!

Sometimes they try and convince me to buy a $40 Lego set just to get the figures inside. Lego does a great job of marketing to my children by sending them a free "magazine" each month...full of ads for new toys. I'm not much better. I love Legos too. It's one of the few toys I don't mind spending hours playing with. (This mom does not play Pokemon.) As soon as they saw these, they went nuts. There 16 figures in all to collect. The problem is, they are packaged so that you can't see what you are getting. It's like baseball cards. You keep buying until you get all the one you want. We did pretty good. Out of 6 packages we opened, we only have one duplicate. The Clown. If anyone wants to swap for a clown, let me know. I may be able to swing a bargain with Cooper.
