Free Friday - Monkey Love

I am back again today with a cute file for all you die cut lovers! Cuts with small details can be frustrating, so remember to give my monkey some love - don't try to cut him too small or you will be disappointed. The file has 2 cuts included -  a top and bottom layer. I haven't tried to cut flocked paper in awhile but wouldn't he be cute cut from brown fuzzy paper?

Please remember...These files may not be uploaded to a group, forum or website for sale or redistribution, or shared among individuals. They are expressly for the personal use of each person that downloads them from this blog.
Keep it nice so I can keep being nice to you! :)

Thanks for stopping by! It was great to get so many nice emails and comments from new blog friends last week. If anyone ever has a question, please feel free to email me or leave a comment below. I would love to help with any Die Cutting, Drawing or Scrapbooking questions you have. And yes. I still scrapbook. A lot! I have many new projects that I can't share just yet. :) New pages will be up after the weekend.

For those who bothered to read this far down...Don't forget to stop by on Tuesday! I will be having a BIG giveaway in honor of my release at TwoPeas!

Straight from the Nest

Straight from the Nest is finally arriving! Amanda and I had such a fun time putting these designs together. If you are already a fan of 3Birds, you are going to love this cartridge. Many of the images coordinate with our previous kits and paper packs. This cartridge will sold exclusively on HSN beginning March 3rd. Check out this video from Provocraft that shows some very cute samples made with the cartridge. I plan on making some Easter and Spring cards with many of the designs on it. Hope you like it too!

ETA!  This is what I have been told...This cartridge will be an HSN exclusive. It will be available stand alone OR in a bundle. There will be coordinating paper products but those will not be on HSN until June. The cartridge is being sold either way in March, alone and bundle. Cool?

Be sure to stop by my blog next Tuesday! I will be having a BIG giveaway in honor of the cartridge debut and my new product release on TwoPeas!

cute inspiration

Vintage Hello Kitty by +Pixel.
I have been obsessed with "cute" illustration since I was a girl. I can remember getting my first Hello Kitty stationary set at Higbee's when I was eight. It had tiny little colored pencils and lots of little cards and envelopes with Kitty on them. Sanrio was a huge part of my 80's childhood.

Here are some new illustrators that have caught my eye and make me feel inspired.

Free Friday!

Of course I didn't forget about Free Friday! Better yet - I figured out how to make .gsd files for those who use a Silhouette.

I've been very busy this week getting art together for my site at TwoPeas. Having fun and learning a lot can be very energizing. Here is a peak at my banners and logos for their site.

So on to Free Friday...
Some of you may already have border designs similar to this but I thought it would be good to share so newbies can add to their stash. I designed the piece to be a full 12". If you have paper long enough, cut the design on a 24" Cricut mat so that you can get the full size for a scrapbook page.

And for those who wanted a GSD file of last week's Butterfly, here it is!

FYI...These files may not be uploaded to a group, forum or website for sale or redistribution, or shared among individuals. They are expressly for the personal use of each person that downloads them from this blog.

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave me a comment so I can get to know you and read your blogs too!

i think i am in love...

eCraft Pearl White
It was my turn to post today at the Mosh Posh Blog. I shared some more information on Die Cutting and some my latest favorites. If you haven't read about the eCraft yet - get on over here! I really really really want this machine thanks to Caroline!

Can you say SWEET? This is the March Main Kit at Work In Progress. Hands down my favorite ever. I've been super swamped with projects this week but still managed to get a few of my pages done. I can't wait to get back into my scrap room this weekend to make more.

The March Project Kits is pretty yummy too. I wouldn't wait to order on these. They have sold out written all over them.
Off to bed. My Mom is picking me up early to go out for coffee and Archiver's for Make and Take Weekend. They have all the new Cosmo Cricket chipboard letters for $1.99. Crazy! Some bright yellow mist better be waiting there for me too. I need some sunshine to spray on my pages this week.

a new venture

See that cool little green icon over there to your left? The one that says TwoPeas Digital Designer? Yes. That would be me!
I have been asked to join their site to sell my designs. My work will be focused on electronic die cutting shapes for the Cricut, Silhouette and Wishblade. My first packages should be in the store by next week. To say that I am just a little excited about this would be the understatement of the year!

Free Friday!

Time to start sharing with others! Every Friday I am going to share a new .svg file for you to download and use for free on your Cricut! (You must have SCAL or Make the Cut software - if you don't have these, get them! I highly recommend!)
Every time I look through the gallery at TwoPeas, I see a ton of pages using the new Martha Stewart monarch butterfly punch. I admit, I almost bought it myself at Michaels this week. Do I really need another punch? No, not when I could cut the shape on my Cricut. Here's my version. The svg has the butterfly shape plus the outline so you can mat the design if desired.

Thanks for stopping by and come back next Friday for a free border design. Also- leave me a comment so I can get to know who is stopping by!

February Mosh Posh

So glad I can finally share my pages for Mosh Posh. I loved the colors in this kit. Lots of October Afternoon Farm Fresh and cool embellishments from Jenni Bowlin and Sassafras.
I made this one based on Brook's sketch. I wanted to use my typewriter but it is still out being repaired and cleaned. I altered the chipboard letters with real glimmer mist. I didn't have teal brads so I used alcohol ink to change the color of blue ones.

Can you tell I'm probably running low on kraft cardstock? That's all I seem to be using these days. Created the flower and bottom border with Jenni Bowlin crepe paper ribbon. The little flowers were cut on my Cricut.

I altered the Jenni Bowlin button with ink and sand paper. Used my new favorite font LD New Arrival for the journaling.

Scrunching crepe paper and sewing can be tricky but fun! Colored in the letters with colored pencils this time for something different.

Don't forget to stop by the Mosh Posh gallery to see what the others girls have created as well!

2.04.2010

It's ready.

The February Mosh Posh kits is on sale. You need this. I have been busy making some pretty fun pages the past few nights...the gallery reveal will be up Friday night!

a few more CHA pics I missed

I missed a few! Can you believe it?

I am crazy about Glaze pens and have been waiting for Sakura to come out with new colors! I'm not sure if they will be available single or in a pack. Most of my pens are dried up, so I might as well buy the whole set! (Note: Most gel type pens only have a one year shelf life after opening)

This looks like fun! Ranger Enamel Accents

and how could I forget my favorite little friend Doodlebug?!?! They never post sneaks, don't have a blog and update their site way after the fact. Luckily, I was the entire catalog at work today. All I can say is yum! As always, the stickers are fantastic.

February WIP

I loved this month's kit at Work In Progress...so did everyone else! It's already sold out. There are still Valentine and project kits, so head on over! The design team knocked it out once again. Be sure to check out the design team gallery here.
Here is what I created:
Everything is from the kit except the blue ribbon and blue cardstock.
I added cardstock and the white heart.

I altered the letters with mist and added green ribbon.

I added the brown letters, ribbon and flower.
