Come on Down!

Set your DVRs friends! CBS station at 11am - My brother in law Curtis is on the Price is Right! Steve and I are in the back left corner of the audience (screaming like maniacs) with a whole group of friends in Orange Tshirts. We had SO much fun celebrating his 30th birthday that day. After we spent a good portion of the day at CBS Studios, we spent the rest of the night out on the Hollywood Strip. LA=too much fun!

Edited to add: Here in Cleveland, we had a dam break so the news interrupted the show. We only got to see Curtis Come on Down! Someone on the west coast had better be taping this!

new directions

Yesterday was my last day at Pulsar Products as a product designer. I have been employed there part-time for the past two years and cannot believe how much I absorbed and grew as a designer in such a short time. My freelance workload has more than doubled this year. As much as I enjoyed working at Pulsar, it was time to resign and be able to concentrate on my own accounts (which I dearly love and will stay up half the night working on if necessary). I am lucky enough to be in a profession that allows me to work from home and will now be able to focus my extra time on freelance and hopefully A LOT more scrapbooking.

Pulsar Girls...I love you and will miss you dearly. Especially you dear Chasity. :)

look what the postman brought me

A berry delicious new diecutting machine - the eCraft! I had the honor of designing two SD cards for Craftwell in 2010 and now can't wait to try out my designs on their machine. I hope to be able to play with my new machine this weekend. Hopefully once I learn the ins and outs, I can give some tips and tricks right here on the blog! Craftwell also just launched eCraftCentral where you can download individual shapes as you need.

it's been an eternity

since I have actually scrapbooked! My plate has been so full the past six months with graphic design projects. Don't get me wrong, they have been incredibly fun projects. But I am just dying to create with my hands instead of my computer for once!

I am making some important changes to my life and workload that hopefully will allow me a little more free time to craft yet still allow my freelance business to grow. I miss playing in my craft studio and want to find a little more balance in my week that allows me to do both. I have some exciting opportunities ahead of me and feel extremely optimistic about the future. So for those of you still reading this boring blog, stay with me. Change is coming and I hope to be able to share some actual craft projects soon. For those who like my digital die cuts, new ones should finally be one their way to TwoPeasinaBucket soon!

You wouldn't believe how big the pile of photos is sitting on my desk! I have two different Orlando vacations that haven't even been touched yet. I need a month off just to get caught up. In the meantime, here are a few pages I managed to scrapbook at the end of the year.
