Free Friday #27

Halloween is in full swing around this house. No school today so we are heading out to a fall festival if the weather cooperates. The Rooster (aka Cooper) let Emmitt and I sleep until 8:30 so our day is just beginning.

Lots of new kits this week in the TwoPeas store. Now if I only had time to use them myself! :(
DigiKit - Circle Page Pieces

Circle Page pieces are great for layering onto cards and pages. Use them whole or cut them up into pieces as needed.

DigiKit - Cupcake Birthday
Need some quick and simple cards or tags? Then Cupcake Birthday is the kit for you! The kit contains one card overlay and one tag overlay. Simply layer over cardstock or patterned paper for quick and easy cards. Kit also includes extra shapes and welded word titles for scrapbooking as well!

Don't forget to stop at the TwoPeas shop and download your free FreakyFreebies kit as well!

Today's free cutting file is a Spooky Skull!

sketch

I haven't done a sketch here in quite a while. I was approached by Mélissa Malebranche a Creating Keepsakes reader this week for the sketch of my Apple Picking page in the October 2010 issue page 73. It was so nice of her to contact me and of course I wanted to share with her. I whipped the sketch and thought, why not share with my blog readers as well?

Here's the sketch:

And for those who love my free digital cut files...here is the Tree in the back ground too. Most of it was covered by the crepe paper leaves but I thought it might be useful for a spooky Halloween page too!

Don't forget about the new Jennifer McGuire Book giveaway! You have until Sunday at midnight to enter!

New Book and a Giveaway too!

Are you a huge fan of Jennifer McGuire? Me too! I always flag at least one of her techniques and ideas each month in her Tools and Techniques CK article. I have learned so many things from her over the years. When the editors at Creating Keepsakes asked me to contribute two pages to her new book, I was honored beyond belief.

I had the opportunity to receive an advance copy of the book for preview. It is amazing. CK always publishes top notch publications, this one goes above and beyond. The title says 101+ and it delivers. Many of the ideas use products you most likely have on hand. Jennifer sparks your creative process and inspires you to use those products in new and different ways.

Here is a preview of one of my pages in the book:

To see more of the book, visit this preview area as well. Want to get a copy of the book for yourself? You can purchase the new issue right here. I even have a coupon for you to save a little money! Use coupon code FS101B for free shipping on orders $25 or more and expires 12/31/10.

Want to win your very own copy of the book? One lucky blog winner will win a copy from me! Simply leave me a comment below and I will pick a random winner. You have until midnight Sunday Oct. 10 to enter. I will post the winner here on Monday morning.

PS - Told you I was a fan...here I am getting my photo taken with Jennifer at CHA Summer 2010. I did refrain from asking her for her autograph. :)

Work In Progress October

The gallery is up. Make sure to stop by the Work In Progress blog to see everyone's amazing pages. Cindy Liebel and Nancy Damiano have joined the team, making it even brighter than before! There are still a few kits left and now you can purchase directly from the blog via PayPal.

Here are my pages and projects...

I made this quick little project for my mother's kitchen frig. She always has bits and pieces of photos, ad, reminders hanging on her refrigerator. This little hanging "frame" can now hold all of those items in a more stylish fashion. To make it, simply take a 12x12  - 4x6 photo sleeve page and add eyelets to the hole openings. Fill the photo areas with your favorite papers and embellishments. She can change out the 4x6 month rectangle each month. I left mine blank for her to add in birthdays, anniversaries, etc. Easy and cute!

Free Friday #25

Another week of me not posting anything until Friday! I have a good excuse this time. I was in Kansas City part of the week. I got to see my friend Rebecca Cross the owner of Pink Paislee. She is an amazing, creative person with boundless energy and enthusiasm. I love getting to know people to have as much passion for the industry as I do.

It is now October and the official beginning of Halloween season at the Lamb House. I promised the kids we get out the decorations this weekend. It is one of their favorite things to do!

If you are ready to make some great Halloween crafts, make sure to check out the SpookCraftular Halloween event at TwoPeas beginning on Monday. You never know who you will see or what freebies you may find during the month...hint. hint.

Today's free file is a PUMPKIN!
