something old, made new.

It was my turn to post at the WorkInProgress blog this week...thought I would share here too!

I started this little mini way back when I worked at Archiver's.I wanted to document the millions of stuffed animals my son Cooper has collected and subsequently will not part with. The mini itself is a very quick and simple little concept. I started with 4x6 photos plus a front and back cover cut the same size from KI Memories Sheers. I backed each photo with a 4x6 Journaling Card from Pebbles Inc. I then punched and bound the book with a ZutterBinditAll. For a book title I used American Crafts Thickers and Doodlebug rubons. Overall, this part of the project took less than an hour.

I could not decide how to embellish the inside of the book so I set it aside for several months. Last week I finally got to work and finished it.

I cut a custom title on my Cricut for each page and simplyhandwrote the journaling on the preprinted cards. Here are some of my favorite pages, there were over 20 animals in all!

Without the cricut, this project would have turned into a huge expense, tyring to make all those titles out of expensive letter stickers. Using the machine allows me to create unique embellishments at a fraction of the cost if purchased.

Be sure to check out the latest Cricut Promotion, The Great Gypsy Escape! Purchase one of 4 new Cricut catridges for a chance to win a new Gyspy (handheld design studio for Cricut), $2,000 travel vouchers and even a $30,000 trip to one of 5 fabulous locations!
